General Information
The Winter Drumline ensemble is a percussion activity that runs from late Fall through the Spring. Participants perform and compete indoors. Each Winter Drumline show is based around a theme that is presented through music, choreography, costumes, and props. The Winterguard is open to any interested student, membership being determined by audition during November. This ensemble belongs to the Atlantic Indoor Association (www.aia.org) and participates in AIA sanctioned events, including championships. There is a fee for participants.
For the 2008 season, the WFRHS Drumline will compete in combination with members of the WFRHS Winter Winterguard.
2008 Competition Dates
The WFR Winter Drumline will compete at the following events during the 2008 season. All competitions are listed on the WFR Band Calendar.
- 9 February 2008 - Winterfest at West Johnston High School, Benson, NC.
- 1 March 2008 - Clayton High School
- The WFRHS will be performing at 12:50PM. Percussion awards are at 2:30pm. To view show information, click here.
