If you did not attend the trip meeting on 11/17, I need to meet with both the parent and student to review a few details. The payment schedule is as follows:
Home Playoff Football Game, 11/20
Friday evening we will be playing Garner High School. All band students need to dress warm (we will not be in uniform) and be ready for rehearsal at 6pm in the band room.
Raleigh Christmas Parade, 11/21
Saturday morning we will meet in the band room 7:30am to dress into uniform and leave by 8am for Downtown Raleigh. The parade begins at 9:30am and we won't know until we get there where we are in the parade. All students will be told to call home when we leave Raleigh so you will know what time to pick them up at the school. Please note that if you stay to watch the entire parade, you will need to make arrangements for someone else to pick up your child. If you don't, your child will be left at the school for a long time waiting for you!
Seafood Shack Fundraiser
December 3rd with be WFR Band night at the Seafood Shack in downtown Wake Forest. Invite friends & family, tell the cashier that you are with the band and the band will receive 15% back!
We will also sell $25 gift certificates for the Seafood Shack with a portion of these proceeds going to the general fund. PLEASE understand we can not use the gift certificates at the fundraiser night itself, but you can any other time.
If anyone is interested in the gift certificates please contact Mike Ponsolle. PLEASE mark your calendar to go eat at the Shack on December 3rd, we all need to eat, so why not help the band at the same time!

Band Afghans
Since the WFR Football Team seems to be well on their way into the playoffs, and since it's only going to get colder, be prepared by staying warm in a new, beautiful WFR Band Afghan. So far we have sold 39 blankets and have 36 left from the pre-order. If you haven't gotten one you should! If you already paid and would like to pick yours up, or would like to buy one, please contact Millie Carillo. They make wonderful Christmas gifts!
2010 End-of-Year Slideshow
Nick, Moe, and Dave are doing the end-of-year band slideshow and would like your photos! Any digital photos/videos that you have from past years, including this year, would be greatly appreciated. Also if you have any earlier shots of your band member (first time on instrument, etc), submit those too. Please submit your contribution on CD or DVD to Moe by 12/15 - this will allow them to get the majority of the slideshow done over Christmas break.
